The Competition Commission of India (CCI) imposed a ₹200-crore fine on India’s biggest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) for anti-competitive practices. CCI said MSIL restrained its dealers from offering discounts to customers beyond those prescribed by the MSIL. It even threatened dealers with strict action like stoppage of supply and collecting penalties on offering extra discounts.
